A Letter From The Lazy P Ranch Hands

The Lazy P Ranch Hands would like to thank everyone for a wonderful first year at the Ranch & Arena. We had great success at our Chuckwagon Races and Ranch Rodeos. Our Annual Trail/Wagon Rides and Chili Cook-Off had a slow start with rain on Thursday and Friday. But on Saturday we had about 140 trail riders and several wagons. Saturday night there were 13 teams in the Ranch Rodeo and a huge crowd in the Arena. It would not have been possible without all the local support we received from everyone.
We are looking at a very big season next year with lots of Chuckwagon Racing and Ranch Rodeos, and maybe some buckle series and Truck & Tractor Pulls. We're even looking at adding a few new events, but we're still working on the details! In May we'll be having a 1-day Hay Show for all the new hay equipment and trailers. We hope to start our new year sometime in April 2009.

Construction Started On New Pavilion & General Store

Construction began today on a new covered pavilion and General Store for the arena. The pavilion will feature a fire pit, picnic tables, & more. We will eventually add on to the general store to make a small village that includes bunk houses for rent & who knows what else by the time it's all said & done!! Brian Wehrman did an awesome job on the drawings of this. It takes you back in time!!
Lazy P is Available To Rent!

Lazy P Ranch & Arena is now available to rent for weekend camping trips, special events, parties, business gatherings, etc. We offer electric & water hook-ups, and a shower house. Call 417-232-4122 or send us an email with questions.
